From the day he was born, he was such a beautiful baby, all the nurses fell in love with him. He had Spikey dark hair and the most amazing blue eyes. We lived with grandma gina @ grandad billy for the first few months where Leon was spoilt rotten. We moved to our own home in 1989 where he eventually slept through the night at 7 months. His first school was seven hills primary morley. This is when his rugby carrer kicked off at the age of 6/7, playing for the school and also Churwell Chiefs.Week in week out he would score his hat trick and claim the "MAN OF THE MATCH or "MAN OF STEEL AWARD.Leon then went on to represent the Leeds Service Area, and gained a Scholarship with Leeds Rhinos at the age of 11 - 16. He then moved onto Hunslet Hawks for a short time , then signed for Salford City Reds at the age of 16 for 3 years, where he achieved so much. His first presentation night with the reds Leon was awarded The Players Player and The Coaches Award in 2006. He claimed the same award again in 2007.In 2007 he was also selected to represent England against France where they won.During his time at Salford Leon travelled to and fro across the pennines to train and play the game he loved so much.He also had a go at scaffolding to which he loved with his mad mate "OGGIE" boy did they have a time.He then joined the Wakefield Wilcats for a short time until that terrible tragic day when sadly he was to play no more. Leon touched the hearts of so many people, everyone who knew him loved him, everyones grannie, Grandad, Auntie, uncle , Brother , Sister, Adored him, but not as much as we his family did. He was a very special person who had so much to give, and the world is truly a sadder place without him.He will always be in our hearts and his memories will live on eternally. Goodnight our precious Beautiful son we love you and we are so proud of you, RIP "BABE" Mum @ Dad
